Canyonlands Jacket: a work-in-progress — grab the template and design without limits

Step 1 of my Canyonlands Jacket Project

Check out this beautiful panel from an upcoming collection Canyonlands, from QT Fabrics.

I traced my template and letting the panel “talk” to me as I design. Stay tuned for step-by-step progress plus tips on how I make it all work. You can bet my Star 60 tool from Studio 180 Design will be hard at work! 🧵

Steampunk Mona Lisa coat— big reveal! 🧵✨

It started with seven panels from eQuilterfabrics and my trusty Star 60 tool from Studio180design . I extended the jacket template into a coat to use the full front panel — find the template here. I turned triangles into star motifs with a central hexi + triangles, then pieced everything with the Studio 180 Capped 60 technique. I used vintage jewelry box closures from the woodworking aisle instead of buttons, and Minky rather than batting/backing. Sooo happy with how she turned out — dare to deviate and make something fun! Happy stitching! ✂️🪡

The Template has FINALLY arrived!!
